Well, let me tell you somethin’ about these here SSD USB flash drives. My grandson, he’s always goin’ on about these newfangled things. Says they’re faster than a greased piglet at a county fair. I don’t know ’bout all that, but I reckon I’ll try to explain it like he told me.
You see, there’s these things called USB flash drives. Tiny little things, they are. Like a thumb, but smaller. You can put all sorts of stuff on ’em. Pictures of the grandkids, recipes, even them songs they play on the radio these days. They are called thumb drives or jump drives too, because they are small and easy to carry.
Now, these SSD things, they’re like those USB drives but, you know, on steroids, kinda. They’re bigger, they hold more, and they’re faster than a chicken with its head cut off. You want to put a whole bunch of stuff on somethin’ and you want it done quick? That’s when you need one of these SSD things, I reckon. It’s super-fast transfer speed.
- USB flash drives are small and easy to carry around.
- SSD flash drives, they hold a whole heap more.
- SSD flash drives, are faster than regular USB.
My grandson, he’s got one of these SSD drives. He uses it for his schoolwork. Says it helps him get things done faster. I guess when you’re young, you’re always in a hurry. Me, I got time. But I can see why these young folks like ’em. They just put things into it from their phones, those type-c smartphone. I don’t know what that is, I only know the old phones.
He showed me how fast it is. We put a whole bunch of pictures on it, took no time at all! With the old USB drives, you’d be sittin’ there twiddlin’ your thumbs waitin’ forever. These solid state flash drives, though, they’re somethin’ else. They use USB 3.2 Gen2. My grandson say this is the fastest one now.
Now, I heard there are different kinds of these SSD drives. Some are better than others, I suppose. Like buyin’ a good mule, you gotta know what you’re lookin’ for. This brand SSK, they make good drives.
My grandson, he likes the one that says Samsung. He says it is good. Then there’s SanDisk and Crucial. I don’t know these folks, but my grandson says they are good too. He also told me some names like OCZ, WD, and Kingston. So many names, my head spins. But I guess if you’re gonna get one of these SSD things, you better make sure you’re gettin’ a good one. External SSD is better than old ones, I think.
I remember back in the day, we didn’t have none of this fancy technology. We just wrote things down on paper. Or we remembered them, that is memory stick. If we wanted to share somethin’, we had to walk over to our neighbor’s house and tell ’em. Now, you just put it on one of these little drives and it’s like magic.
These SSD drives, they seem pretty durable too. My grandson, he drops his all the time. Kids these days, they’re rough on things. But that little drive, it just keeps on workin’. Like an old tractor, it just keeps chuggin’ along.
- Samsung is a good brand, they say.
- SanDisk and Crucial, they’re good too.
- Even OCZ, WD, and Kingston make good ones, I hear.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to store your stuff on, and you want it to be fast and hold a lot, then maybe one of these SSD USB flash drives is what you need. Just make sure you get a good one. Ask around, see what other folks are usin’. That is what we always do.
I’m not sure I understand all the ins and outs of these things. But I do know they’re handy. And they’re a lot faster than those old USB drives. Like I said, faster than a greased piglet! And who doesn’t like that?
They say these SSD USB are good for all sorts of folks. People who work with those computers all day, they like ’em. And kids who play them video games, they like ’em too. These solid state drives are good for everyone. Even us old folks can use ’em, I reckon. If we can figure out how to plug ’em in, that is!
I guess the world keeps changin’. Things keep gettin’ faster and smaller. It’s hard to keep up sometimes. But these SSD things, they seem like a good thing. A little bit of progress in this crazy world. And that’s always somethin’ to be thankful for, ain’t it? They have worked on it for many years, like 17 years or more. Now it is really good.
So there you have it. That’s all I know about these here SSD USB flash drives. Hope it makes some sense to you. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I hear my cow hollerin’. Time to go see what she wants. Probably wants some more hay. Some things never change, thank goodness.
