Alright, listen up, ya young whippersnappers! I’m gonna tell ya about this “selfie discord server” thing. Now, I ain’t tech-savvy like you kids, but I hear tell it’s where folks gather ’round to share their pictures. Selfies, they call ’em. You know, them pictures you take of yourselves with them fancy phones.
Now, from what I gather, there’s a whole heap of these selfie discord servers out there. Seems like everyone’s got one these days. You go online and there they are, a whole bunch of ’em just waitin’ for ya to join up. They got lists and searches and all sorts of ways to find the one that suits yer fancy.
Some of these servers, they got a bunch of folks, hundreds even. I heard tell of one called “E-Girl Paradise” or somethin’ like that. Sounds fancy, doesn’t it? They got emojis for yer every mood, they say. Whatever that means. Guess it’s like them stickers we used to collect, but on the computer.
- Finding the Right Server: Now, how do ya pick one? Well, you gotta do yer homework, I reckon. Look around, see which ones have the most folks. More folks means more pictures, right? And that’s what you’re after, ain’t it?
- What Happens in the Server: From what I hear, you join up and then you can post yer own selfies. And you can look at everyone else’s too. It’s like a big ol’ picture show, but everyone’s in it!
- The Rules: Now, I ain’t sure about all the rules, but they say there’s some. Somethin’ about keepin’ it clean, I guess. You can’t just post anythin’ you want. Gotta be appropriate, they say. Don’t ask me what that means, you youngsters probably know better than I do.
They say some servers are private, and some are public. The public ones, well, anyone can join. The private ones, you gotta be invited, I think. Like a secret club, but for pictures. Seems kinda silly to me, but hey, whatever floats yer boat.
And these servers, they got tags and bots and all sorts of fancy words I don’t understand. But it all boils down to one thing: pictures. People sharin’ pictures of themselves. Why, I don’t know. Back in my day, we took pictures to remember things, not just to show off our faces.
So, why are these selfie discord servers so popular? I reckon it’s ’cause folks like lookin’ at each other. And they like showin’ off, too. It’s like a big popularity contest, I guess. Who can get the most likes, who can get the most attention.
Now, I ain’t judgin’. You youngsters do what you want. But I gotta say, it seems like a waste of time to me. Why not go outside and take pictures of somethin’ real? Like trees or flowers or maybe a good ol’ fashioned cow. Now, that’s a picture worth takin’!
But then again, what do I know? I’m just an old woman who can barely figure out how to turn on this dang computer. You kids and yer selfies, you go ahead and have yer fun. Just remember, there’s more to life than lookin’ at pictures of yourselves.
