Okay, so I saw this crossword clue today – “popular running app” – and I was like, “I bet I can figure this out, and maybe even try one of these apps out myself!” My journey started, predictably, with a bit of head-scratching.
Brainstorming and Googling
First, I tried to just think of running apps I’d heard of. You know, the ones people always talk about. I came up with a few, but none of them seemed to fit the number of letters I had in the crossword. So, time for Plan B: good ol’ Google.

I typed in “popular running apps” and, boom, a whole bunch of lists and articles popped up. I skimmed through a few, jotting down names that seemed promising. Here’s what my quick list looked like:
- Strava
- Runkeeper
- MapMyRun
- Nike Run Club
- Adidas Running
- …and a bunch more I’d never even heard of!
Narrowing it Down
Now, I went back to my crossword. The clue had spaces for six letters. I quickly check my written down list. Strava is the only word that has six letters.
Trying it Out (Maybe?)
Since I see it on the list. I am quite interested about the app. Strava! I’ve heard people rave about it, but I’ve never actually used it myself. Maybe I’ll download it and give it a shot. It could be fun to track my runs and see how I’m doing. Although, to be honest, I’m more of a “run for fun” kind of guy, not a “track every step” kind of guy.
Conclusion (for now…)
So, that’s where I’m at! I solved the crossword clue (pretty sure it’s Strava!), and I’ve got a new app to potentially explore. Who knows, maybe this will be the start of a whole new running journey for me. Or maybe I’ll just stick to my usual, unplanned jogs around the neighborhood. Either way, it was a fun little mental exercise!
