Okay, so I’ve been messing around with my Mac’s look lately, and I gotta say, changing wallpapers is a super easy way to freshen things up. Today, I wanted to get that classic El Capitan vibe, you know, that awesome mountain view? So, here’s how I went about it.
First off, I hit up the internet. I just typed “El Capitan wallpaper Mac” into the search bar and clicked enter. You wouldn’t believe how many options there are! I scrolled through a bunch of sites that had tons of wallpapers. It’s kinda overwhelming, honestly, but in a good way. There are so many cool designs, from nature scenes to abstract art, all free to download in HD. It is a good start, right?
After browsing for a bit, I found this one site that had a whole gallery dedicated to El Capitan. Clicked on that, and bam! There it was, the exact wallpaper I was looking for. They had it in different resolutions, too, which is great ’cause you can pick the one that fits your screen perfectly. I picked the 4K one ’cause, why not? My screen can handle it, and I want it to look sharp.
Downloading was a breeze. Just clicked the download button, and it was on my computer in seconds. Then, I went to my System Settings. You can get there by clicking the Apple menu in the corner. Easy peasy.
In System Settings, there’s a section for wallpapers. I clicked on that and added the El Capitan wallpaper I just downloaded. They let you choose how you want it to fit the screen, like stretched, centered, or whatever. I played around with the options a bit and found the one I liked best.
- Open Apple menu.
- Go to System Settings.
- Find the wallpaper section.
- Add your new wallpaper.
- Adjust how it fits the screen.
And that’s it! Now my Mac’s rocking that sweet El Capitan look. It’s such a simple thing, but it makes using my computer a little more enjoyable. If you’re looking to change up your Mac’s wallpaper, I definitely recommend checking out some of these free wallpaper sites. You’re bound to find something you like!
My tips:
Don’t be afraid to try out different wallpapers until you find the perfect one. It is also a good way to make the experience more fun! It’s your computer, make it your own!
