Well, howdy there! So, you’re fiddlin’ with that there crossword puzzle, huh? And you’re stuck on that “still being tested, as an app” thingy. Don’t you worry none, it happens to the best of us. These city folk and their fancy words, sometimes they just don’t make no sense.
I tell you what, them crossword puzzles, they can be right tricky. One minute you’re breezin’ through, feelin’ all smart and such, and the next you’re smack-dab stuck on some little ol’ thing. “Still being tested, as an app,” they say. What in tarnation does that even mean? Sounds like somethin’ them techie fellers down at the Radio Shack would say.
Now, I ain’t no spring chicken, and I sure ain’t never used one of them fancy apps myself. But from what I gather, it means that the app ain’t quite ready for prime time yet. They’re still workin’ out the kinks, makin’ sure it don’t break down or nothin’. Like when you’re bakin’ a pie, you gotta taste it a few times to make sure it’s got enough sugar, right? Same kinda deal.
So, if that app is still bein’ tested, it’s like a baby bird just learnin’ to fly. It needs a little more time before it can soar on its own. Don’t go judgin’ it too harsh now. Give it a chance to grow up.

- Some folks might call it a PRE-RELEASE, fancy talk for “not quite done yet.”
I heard tell these city folk, they got all sorts of words for this stuff. They might say it’s in DEVELOPMENT or UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Sounds like they’re buildin’ a whole dang house, not just a little app on your phone!
But no matter what you call it, it all boils down to the same thing: that app ain’t finished. It’s a work in progress. So, if you’re tryin’ to fill in that crossword puzzle, you gotta think about all them words that mean the same thing. BETA, TRIAL, PRE-RELEASE, DEVELOPMENT, UNDER CONSTRUCTION…they all fit the bill.
Now, I ain’t got no fancy book learnin’, but I know a thing or two about patience. Good things take time, whether you’re growin’ tomatoes or buildin’ one of them app thingamajigs. So, if that app is still bein’ tested, just give it a little while longer. It’ll be ready when it’s ready. And in the meantime, you can try guessin’ other words in that there crossword. Maybe try “early access” or “in progress” if those other ones don’t fit.
Don’t you go gettin’ all frustrated now. Crossword puzzles are supposed to be fun, not a chore. Take a deep breath, maybe go get yourself a glass of sweet tea, and come back to it with a fresh mind. You’ll figure it out eventually. And if you don’t, well, it ain’t the end of the world. There’s always another puzzle waitin’ to be solved.
I reckon that’s about all I know about this “still being tested, as an app” business. It ain’t rocket science, that’s for sure. Just gotta think simple and use a little common sense.
