Alright, so you wanna move them pictures from that Google thingy to Amazon, huh? It ain’t rocket science, I tell ya. Even this old woman figured it out, so you can too. Don’t you worry none.
First thing’s first, you gotta get yourself on that there computer. You know, the thing with the screen and all. Open it up and go to that Google Photos place. Google Photos, that’s what the young’uns call it. Now, find them pictures you wanna move. Click on ’em, one by one, or maybe there’s a way to grab a whole bunch at once. I ain’t sure. My grandson showed me once, but I forgot. He’s a smart one, that boy. Anyways, you see them three little dots on the side? Click on them, and then you’ll see something that says “Download.” Click on that too. That’ll put them pictures on your computer, safe and sound.
- Step 1: Go to Google Photos on your computer.
- Step 2: Pick your pictures and hit those three dots.
- Step 3: Click “Download” to save them pictures.
Now, we gotta get them pictures over to Amazon. You gotta go download another thingy, they call it an “app.” It’s like a little program. This one’s called Amazon Photos. Go find it on that internet thing and download it. It’s pretty easy. Once you got it, open it up and sign in with your Amazon account. You know, the one you use to buy stuff. If you don’t have one, well, you gotta make one. Ask your grandkids, they know how to do all this stuff.
Once you’re all signed in, you gotta find where it says “upload.” That means puttin’ them pictures from your computer into Amazon. Click on that, and then find them pictures you downloaded from Google. Select ’em all and let it do its thing. It might take a while if you got a lot of pictures, so be patient. Go make yourself a cup of tea or somethin’.
Now, why would you wanna do all this, you ask? Well, I heard tell that Amazon Photos gives you more space to keep your pictures. And they got some fancy tools too, to make your pictures look all nice and purty. You can even put words on ’em, which is kinda neat, I guess. Google Photos is good too, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes it’s good to have a backup, you know? Just in case somethin’ happens. Like that time my phone went for a swim in the toilet… Don’t ask. Anyways, having your pictures in two places is like havin’ two jars of pickles in the cellar. If one breaks, you still got the other one.
Transferring photos ain’t so hard once you get the hang of it. It’s just a matter of movin’ them from one place to another. Download here, upload there, that’s all there is to it. And if you get stuck, ask them young’uns for help. They know all about this computery stuff. They were born with phones in their hands, I swear.
So there you have it. You got your pictures from Google over to Amazon. Now you can sleep soundly knowin’ your memories are safe and sound. And if you ever wanna move ‘em back, well, you just do the same thing in reverse. Download from Amazon, upload to Google. Easy peasy. Just remember to take it slow, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Even this old lady learned how to do it, so you can too.
I even heard tell that Amazon Photos has some fancy things, like you can put those words right on top of your photos. I don’t know why you’d want to do that but the kids seem to like it. And it’s got all these different ways to make them pictures look different. They call them “filters”. Back in my day, a filter was for coffee! Anyways, it’s there if you want it. But the main thing is your pictures are safe. That’s what matters.
So don’t be scared of that computer. It ain’t gonna bite ya. Just take your time and you’ll figure it out. And if you don’t, well, there’s always those grandkids, right? They’re good for somethin’, besides eatin’ all your cookies.
